Application Process

Round 1 –
School Presentation

First Workings partners closely with your school’s administrators, and counselors. Eligible juniors will be invited to attend our Information Session prior to submitting the online application. You will not be able to submit an online application unless you attend our Information Session. Information Sessions are conducted virtually and in person, depending on your school’s COVID19 protocol.

Round 2 –
Application

After the First Workings team presents to your school, you will be sent an email with a link to our online application. The online application focuses on college and career interests, extracurriculars, and why you want to join First Workings. There will be three short answer questions and two video submissions. In addition to the online application, all applicants are required to submit at least one teacher or counselor recommendation. The application and recommendation are all submitted online.

Round 3 –
The Decision

The First Workings team carefully reviews all student applications in November and December. All students will be notified of their admissions decision in January.
