First Workings’ Board of Directors Expands

First Workings’ Board of Directors Expands

We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new members to the First Workings board, LisaMarie Collins, Partner at Mintz Levin, and Chloe Mullarkey, Co-Founder of First Workings! We are proud to highlight their professional successes below, which showcase the great contribution they will be to our Board of Directors!

LisaMarie Collins represents Mintz clients in complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration forums, as well as in governmental investigations and regulatory enforcement actions. She has a particular expertise in the financial industry, handling issues concerning derivatives and commodity futures. She also maintains an active employment practice focused on dispute resolution, discrimination and harassment, and counsels blue-chip institutional clients on internal investigations and employment issues, such as employment and commission agreements, recruitment and contract disputes, and restrictive covenant issues.

LisaMarie is a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee. In this role, LisaMarie focuses on the recruitment, retention and promotion of attorneys of color and the creation of a diverse and inclusive workplace. She also volunteers with Legal Outreach, a nonprofit organization that seeks to level the educational playing field for minority, low income, and first-generation students by implementing programs designed to fill the achievement, outlook, and matching gaps which prevent students from achieving their highest aspirations and reaching their professional goals.

LisaMarie holds a BA from Bucknell University and a JD from University of Notre Dame.

LisaMarie resides in lower Manhattan with her husband and two sons.

Chloe Mullarkey and Kevin Davis founded First Workings in 2014, built off of Kevin’s vision for equitable internship opportunities and Chloe’s research background and hands-on experience as a college counselor. The first year, First Workings matched 16 students; in 2020, the organization worked with 48 students, and over 230 students total since inception. At the end of 2019, Chloe transitioned from an active role in the organization as founding Executive Director to an advisory role; she joined the board in January 2021.

As a first generation college student, Chloe is deeply committed to education and opportunity access, and social and economic mobility for young people from underserved and underrepresented communities. Before First Workings, Chloe served as a College Advisor with the NYU College Advising Corps in a Bronx high school. She has also worked in youth empowerment and development research at NYU and Mount Sinai Hospital.

Chloe holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from NYU Steinhardt and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. A native New Yorker, Chloe now lives in Golden, Colorado with her husband and 1 year old daughter.
