First Workings is a non-profit organization that acts as a bridge between very bright high school students from some of NYC’s most underserved and underrepresented communities, with companies seeking to diversify their pipeline of talent. First Workings identifies exceptional high school students to participate in Workplace Readiness Training, Virtual Mentorships and Paid Summer Internships. 95% of our students identify as people of color, and 100% attend college. 

This year, with so much attention focused on the rollout of vaccines, we are delighted to offer the opportunity to participate in an Online Conversation with the UK’s Vaccination Minister, Nadhim Zahawi MP. Under Mr. Zahawi’s guidance, the UK has achieved a spectacular vaccine roll-out, second only to that of Israel and ahead of the United States’ own very successful efforts. 

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about our internship and mentorship services directly from First Workings alumni, and their respective internship and mentorship providers. 

This event will provide an opportunity to hear from a rising star of UK politics, while supporting First Workings, the organization I founded and currently run. All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit First Workings.
